The project of MDF wood processing plant in Kien Giang province is invested by VRG with the total investment capital of VND1,491 billion. The factory was built on an area of 85,506 m², Thanh Loc Industrial Park, Chau Thanh district, Kien Giang province.

Processing capacity of the plant is 75,000 m³ of MDF wood/ year, using continuous hot pressing technology, synchronous operation line is ensured, and it meets production requirements for main raw material of Melaleuca. When putting into operation, the plant will contribute to efficient exploitation and utilization of local available raw materials, creating products with high economic value, meeting domestic and foreign demand for MDF wood. Specifically, the project will create jobs and stable incomes for hundreds of local workers, contributing significantly to the local budget.

When putting MDF wood processing plant into operation in Kien Giang province, VRG will gain about 50% market share of country MDF wood, bringing wood processing sector to become one of four main sectors of VRG.
